Program Director

Bilingual Youth and Family Counselor

 

In-Home Therapist

Employment type: Full-time

Compensation: $22-24 per hour

Benefits: Medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits. Clinical supervision provided.

The LifeWorks Behavioral Services program provides in-home family support and behavioral intervention to children and families throughout Sonoma County. As an in-home therapist, you will travel into client homes to provide clinical and behavioral interventions on an individual and family level. Clients are referred through CPS and the county mental health system to our programs.

SKILLS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Completes clinical and behavioral assessments

  • Assists in development of treatment goals

  • Provides individual and family interventions in the home and the community to children with severe and on-going behavior challenges

  • Provides parent education and coaching

  • Addresses issues of past parental abuse and problematic parenting

  • Demonstrates collaborative approaches to working with professional teams, families and children

  • Serves as a liaison to Sonoma County Behavioral Health and Sonoma County Human Services Department.

  • Is responsible for the preparation and maintenance of case files in compliance with MediCal and other standards.

  • Has the ability to organize and audit client files for quality assurance.

  • Has the ability to drive to and from client’s homes in personal vehicle.

  • Has the ability to be a team-player.

Program Director

Employment type: Full-time 

Compensation: Salary, $68,000.00 /year

Are you a creative, detail oriented, licensed mental health practitioner with experience leading a team? Join our staff at LifeWorks and be a part of a fun, highly skilled, high impact agency.

The Program Director works closely with the Executive Director to provide administrative and clinical oversight to assigned programs. The Program Director provides direction to staff and through clinical and programmatic supervision, budget and billing guidance and fidelity to the vision of the agency. This position is both clinical and administrative and requires a high level of organization, detail orientation, problem solving and positive leadership.

 

Duties:

  • Implements and ensures adherence to all program contracts

  • Provides clinical expertise to staff including maintaining BBS standards, adherence to Evidence Based Practices and overseeing ongoing staff development/training

  • Provides weekly clinical supervision to associate level clinicians

  • Works collaboratively with other program directors and staff to implement high quality services

  • Provides community education about LifeWorks and mental health through speaking engagements and presentations

  • Serves as a member of the management team and develops agency policies, procedures and standards

Requirements:

  • A minimum of two years of experience in program management and leadership

  • Licensed as a mental health practitioner in California

  • Experience in contract management, budget adherence and staff accountability practices

  • Demonstrated skills in collaborative approaches to leadership

  • Experience in trauma-informed clinical modalities

 

Bilingual Youth and Family Counselor

El Puente is one of five unique programs offered by LifeWorks of Sonoma County.  We are seeking an experienced youth counselor to work in our in-home, bilingual clinical program. This position provides individual sessions with youth and co facilitated family meetings to support youth in reducing risky behavior, building positive relationships and skills and improving overall family functioning. Join our El Puente team and work to strengthen youth and families all over Sonoma County!

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Complete bio-psycho-social assessment and development of treatment goals

  • Implement evidence-based practices and provide direct therapeutic interventions in client homes and community (juvenile hall, probation camp, schools, etc.)

  • Complete progress notes and maintain client files

  • Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings as an agency representative

  • Provide community education through presentations and groups

  • Work collaboratively with team members and staff

  • Maintain organization and meet program and agency deadlines

 

Requirements:

  • Masters degree and registration as an associate in California (ASW, APCC, AMFT)

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish

  • Two years of experience providing clinical services to youth
