Admission
Requirements
Transitions at LifeWorks seeks
students who:
-
have a primary
diagnosis of Asperger’s Syndrome or a Nonverbal Learning
Disorder
-
are at least 18 years of age or
have completed high school
-
are genuinely
motivated to participate in Transition at LifeWorks
-
are average to above
average intelligence
-
have some sense of
future academic and/or occupational goals/direction
-
are seeking admission
to college or currently enrolled, OR are seeking
employment or are currently employed
-
are emotionally,
behaviorally, and psychologically stable
-
possess the potential
to live and work or attend college independently
Application
Costs:
Transitions at LifeWorks applicants
must submit:
-
a completed
application with a non-refundable fee of $75.00
-
an interview
(included with the $75.00 application fee)
-
verification of a
neurocognitive disability (assessment/diagnosis by a licensed
professional or letter of referral from psychologist or medical
doctor)
-
a short typed essay
of no more than two pages double spaced explaining why you wish
to enroll and what you hope to gain from the program
-
two letters of
recommendation from non-family members
Program Cost
Transitions
at LifeWorks is a fee for service program. A ten month minimum
commitment is necessary for optimal success.
